  • About

The St Albans Fund for the Future is the chosen charity for Councillor Anthony Rowlands the Mayor of the City and District of St Albans 2023-2024.

In today's challenging times, more and more charities and community groups struggle to find the essential funding they need to continue their valuable work.

Established by the former St Albans Mayor, John Peters, in 2001 this fund stands as a pillar of support for small local charities and community organisations. The aim of the fund is to provide these deserving groups with long-term unrestricted grants, enabling them to plan ahead and implement their initiatives effectively. These grants specifically target charities and groups undertaking vital work in the District by working with individuals facing multiple challenges, such as low income, isolation, health issues and more.

In collaboration with John Peters, his family, and Hertfordshire Community Foundation, which manages the fund and grant allocations, the Fund closely aligns with the St Albans Mayor's theme of "All Ages Together." This theme encourages intergenerational support to tackle the issues of isolation and loneliness within the community.

We are reaching out to the local community, urging everyone to contribute in whatever way possible, collectively to shape a better future for St Albans.

Please donate what you can, and together, let's build a brighter future for St Albans.
