My Story
A High Sheriff is appointed by His Majesty The King for one year. The Office of High Sheriff is over 1,000 years old and the key role is to support those involved in the administration of justice and in the voluntary sector.
Anna Rankin is serving as High Sheriff of Hertfordshire in 2026/27. During her year in office Anna's theme is 'Where Families Thrive, Communities Flourish'. Anna has seen first-hand the incredible impact that even some of these smaller charities can make on some of our most vulnerable residents across Hertfordshire.
Anna will raise money via her ‘High Sheriff Fund’ run by Hertfordshire Community Foundation to help people all over the county.
Your donation will make a huge difference to our communities and in making Hertfordshire a better place to live for everyone. Thank you.
